M.L.C.A. History – 1982

In 1982 we try to improve our Friday night bar trade with a band after the fish dinners and we hold a square dance.
The parking area is enlarged as well as our outdoor dance floor.
Our bar room furniture is replaced and fire extinguishing equipment is installed in kitchen and bar.
Purchase of the property across Newton Road is considered but the cost is prohibitive.
A “C.B.” night watch program is started.
We celebrate our 40th Anniversary with a big band night.
Natural gas is run to the range buildings at the north end of the grounds and the first permanent picnic table is built.
We apply for our first land use permit on the park property to the west of the club.
